  • The meaning of word dinosaur is Terrible Lizard. It is derived from Greek word “Deinos” which means Terrible and “sauros” which means lizard.

  • The period during which Dinosaurs dominated earth is called Jurassic period or Jurassic age.

  • Dinosaurs’ first appearance on Earth is about 248 to 213 millions year old.

  • Dinosaurs became extinct about 65 millions years ago.
  • The first skeleton of Dinosaur was found in 1858.
  • Most of the species of Dinosaur hatch form the egg.
  • All the information that we have today on Dinosaurs is based on analysis of frozen fossils.
